Mouser Electronics partners with DS PENSKE for Formula E Season 11, kicking off in Brazil.

Mouser Electronics, a prominent distributor and leader in New Product Introduction (NPI) solutions, has announced its sponsorship of the DS PENSKE Formula E racing team for the 11th season of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. This sponsorship is executed in strategic partnership with TTI, Inc., and in collaboration with leading manufacturers Molex and KYOCERA AVX, as the season commences at the Sambadrome in São Paulo, Brazil.

Brazil is set to inaugurate the Formula E season opener for the first time, with Jean-Éric Vergne, a two-time Formula E World Champion, and Maximilian Günther at the controls of the newly introduced GEN3 Evo car. The GEN3 Evo represents a significant advancement in Formula E technology, with its enhanced speed, strength, and agility, featuring a redesigned body kit for improved structural integrity, robustness, and aerodynamics, and the introduction of all-wheel drive to the series for the first time.

Todd McAtee, Senior Vice President of Business Development at Mouser Electronics, stated, “Mouser is delighted to continue our support for the DS PENSKE Formula E team and is particularly excited about the performance capabilities of the GEN3 Evo car, which boasts a 30% faster acceleration from 0-60 mph compared to current F1 cars, indicating a season of unprecedented excitement and speed.”

Mike Morton, CEO of TTI, reinforced the partnership’s commitment to innovation and sustainability, saying, “TTI is eager to collaborate with Mouser in backing DS PENSKE, promoting a sport that exemplifies innovation and environmental consciousness, as we anticipate a successful season ahead.”

Fred Bell, Vice President of Global Distribution at Molex, highlighted the new car’s role in the ongoing evolution of Formula E, commenting, “The GEN3 Evo is set to further the electric revolution in motorsports, and Mouser and Molex are proud to have been supporters of Formula E since its inception. We wish the DS PENSKE team a safe and victorious season.”

Alex Schenkel, Senior Vice President of Global Sales at KYOCERA AVX, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “We are pleased to join forces with Mouser and TTI in sponsoring the DS PENSKE Formula E team for what promises to be another thrilling season.”

The Formula E season will feature 16 races across ten prestigious venues, maintaining its pioneering status in all-electric racing. The calendar includes a return to Miami, Florida, double-header events in Tokyo and Monaco, and a first-time race in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, culminating in a double-header finale in London, England, marking the largest Formula E race calendar in history.

Formula E cars, powered exclusively by electricity, epitomize the future of the motorsports industry and serve as a platform for research and development in zero-emission motoring. These racing partnerships are a strategic avenue for Mouser to articulate its performance-centric business model and to showcase cutting-edge technologies from its manufacturer partners.
